# Reward Tree - RPL Rewards

Since the [Redstone upgrade](https://medium.com/rocket-pool/rocket-pool-the-merge-redstone-601d9efd6b4) the split of RPL inflation rewards between node operators, the oDAO and the pDAO are calculated off-chain by the oDAO. A reward Merkle Tree is voted on and operators claim their rewards by providing a merkle proof.

Trust level for node operators is moderate, since value at risk is limited to the RPL rewards for one period.
