Reward Tree - Smoothing Pool

Since the node operators have the option to participate in the smoothing pool, which allows them to exchange their volatile priority fees and MEV rewards for a smoother reward. The share each node receives is weighted by number of minipools and their attestation performance.

Just like these shares are calculated by the oDAO off-chain and a merkle tree containing the result is voted on.

For operators that opt-in, the trust level of this duty is moderate, since the value at risk is limited to 28 days of MEV rewards. Node operators can also avoid any trust from this duty by opting to not smooth their rewards and use their own node fee distributor instead.
